Does My Business Really Need A Card Processing Account?
One of the many good benefits to having a bank merchant account. The most obvious benefit to having a merchant accounts is that you will experience a huge growth in sales. People today are all about instant gratification and convenience. Customers that have to printan order form, make a phone call, and/or write a check or purchase a money order, are not as likely to order from you. However, throw in the ability to pay by credit card online or by phone with a credit or debit card, and you have instantly doubled or even tripled your sales potential.
Another benefit to having a %link% is that you will experience fewer losses and less fees than in check cashing. Money orders sometimes take longer to clear your bank, and checks from out of state that are deposited into your local bank may also incur additional charges or take longer to clear the bank. With checks you also have the added disadvantage of occassionally accepting a check that gets returned for non sufficient funds that may never clear the bank at all. Recovering that money is nearly impossible. Accepting credit card payments eliminates all of these expenses, and the fees charged by most credit card processing companies will not come close to equaling those charged by your bank or credit union for the NSF check you collected.
