Beyond Effective Time Management And Towards Team Building
You can only do so much.
You only have so much time.
But you can achieve more than what you can do alone.
And that is via the leverage gained by collaboration.
In a word, let’s call it synergy.
Your ability to lead, influence, and participate in synergistic relationships allow you to make achievements beyond what you are each capable of alone.
time management skills, Performance Management, Project Management, and much much more…
I haven’t often enjoyed working in teams. It’s difficult to juggle everyone’s different perspectives, levels of energy, intelligence, commitment, etc.
But my work with clients in personal time management has taught me that the skills of organization and effective time management work very well when put into teams.
First however, the team must agree on its purpose for existence. The outcome it seeks to achieve. Only when all are in agreement can the incredible powers of synergy transform each members capacity of success.
Here are my current loose definitions of some key areas:
Team Management - Collaboration with a group that are focused on achieving a specific desired outcome. See more on origin of time management techniques.
Performance Management - Facilitating the effectiveness of a group dynamic so that each member contributes their best to the groups success.
Project Management - Viewing the desired outcome from the perspective of dependencies, time scales, and resource requirements.
So for me, team management is about the synergy between individuals, performance management is accelerating the team’s effectiveness by focusing on individual performance, and project management is organizing the project dependencies so everything flies in formation.
Now consider the bigger picture of organized living…
From the simple practicalities of daily organized living, to the big picture of life’s important decisions. Organized Living World recognizes 6 primary aspects of organized living.
* Knowing how to organize
* Clarifying your lifes direction and purpose
* Organizing your life in alignment with that purpose
* Managing your time to create your success
