Halo 3 Armor - Get Protection

Another feature of Halo 3 for xbox is that gamers can use Halo 3 Armor permutations to change his or her multiplayer character. No matter if the gamer is playing as a UNSC SPARTAN-II or a Covenant Elite, there are new armor permutations available for them to be able to customize their character’s to their liking. Originally these armor permutations were discovered in the Halo 3 beta. It’s been calculated that there are 187,947,000 combinations that a gamer can choose from. These various armor permutations are unlocked by accomplishments that a gamer can either find in the campaign side of the game or by playing the multiplayer part of the game in Halo 3.

If a gamer is using the SPARTAN character, then all together there are 11 helmets, 8 shoulder pieces and 8 chest pieces that can be chosen from. All together they make out a total of 6,144 different armor permutations. With these different armor permutations you can choose a combo of one helmet, two shoulder pieces and one chest piece.

If a gamer is playing as a Covenant Elite, there are several different armor permutations for them as well. There are however not as many Covenant Elite armor permutations as there are for the SPARTAN armor permutations, reason being is that not as many gamers play as the Covenant Elite as there are playing SPARTANs. For the gamers playing as Covenant Elite characters, they have 625 different permutations that they can choose from. In this case there are 5 helmets, 5 shoulder pieces and 5 chest pieces, each gamer can do a Halo 3 armor permutation of one helmet, two shoulder pieces and a chest piece for this character.

To be able to unlock these different Halo 3 armor permutations, can depend on a few different situations. Some armor is already unlocked by default; others may be unlocked a few different ways. Take the Elite flight helmet for example, to be able to unlock this helmet the gamer has to beat Halo 3 on either the Heroic difficulty or the legendary difficulty. Another example is the SPARTAN security helmet, to be able to unlock this piece of armor; the gamer has to get all of the Halo 3 achievements. Since the developers have added these new armor permutations into the Halo 3 game, it allows for gamers to make their characters reflect themselves.
