Unique Picture Frames

If you love photos, you probably have a house full of glass picture frames. Though there are plastic versions that work just as well, there is just something about the beauty of glass picture frames that cannot be beat. The great thing about these is that they are so varied in size and style, you can find something special for just about every photo you wish to frame. Take your time to find the perfect frame, and keep your personal taste as well as what you will be framing in mind as you shop.

You can find very expensive glass picture frames in most high-end stores. These can be the most beautiful, but the price can be high if you need more than a few. You can find less expensive glass picture frames that can look just as great in your home. You may be surprised at how great a three-dollar frame might look in your home. You can also find less expensive versions that can be grouped together for a great look. A series of simple black glass picture frames can be stunning if filled with black and white photos and displayed on your wall.

You can get glass picture frames that are personalized in just about any theme, or you can personalize them yourself. I just took a great series of photographs of my daughter from her first trip to the beach. They came out so lovely, that I had a hard time choosing the perfect glass picture frame to hold them. Finally, I settled on a simple black collage frame that I choose to personalize myself. I used some of the shells she collected on this trip to make the frame special. I used a hot glue gun to glue a few of them to the frame. Perfect!

The problem with cheaper glass picture frames is durability. Many of the less expensive ones I have bought have become warped. The frame itself is ok, but the stand attached to the back often breaks away or bends so the frame won’t stand on its own. If you buy the less expensive glass picture frames, use them for wall hanging purposes. That way you don’t have to worry about the stand bending. If you want something to stand on a bookcase, table, or nightstand, make sure you pay a little more for your glass picture frames so you don’t have to worry about replacing them very often.
