A Couple of Microwave Oven Cooking Tips

Remember that it’s a better idea to microwave for a shorter time - you can always cook food for longer if it’s under cooked. Overcooked food is usually ruined, and it’s easier to over cook things when microwaving. It’ll take longer to cook food that’s refrigerated or frozen than it will to cook room temperature food, too. Remember that everything cooks for a little while longer, even after you take it out of the microwave. Plan your cooking around this fact.

Using a microwave oven is also a good way to keep your food looking and tasting its best. Color and flavor are preserved when you cook with a microwave, while conventional cooking tends to degrade them. This allows vegetables and meats to be bright and attractive, while remaining delicious. You’ll probably find that these foods require fewer spices and condiments than ordinary meals.
